Whatever powers that be that would allow Jane, Douglas Adams, and Terry Pratchett to expire should be set on fire and then sacked

It's not my photo, but I think Jane was still very much alive (and grumberly) when this was taken.

Yep, broke my fucking heart when Terry Pratchett died. Kept putting off reading his final book because after that it was the end.

Last Chance to See, by Douglas Adams himself. You need to read it. I need to read it again.

Probably unpopular, but Pratchett wasn't that great as you get closer to the end. You can see him sort of slipping, it's very sad.

Yea Alzheimer’s definitely effected his written work, but it was still the same discworld series that I had read since The Colour of Magic.

I remember when the number of kakapo was much lower than it is now. The NZ conservation effort has done well, but this makes me sad.

It really was, though imported animals have really done a number on native birds over nearly 200 years. They made easy meals for them. :(

Aw man, I absolutely love Kakapo's. I'm even wearing my Kakapo socks. Their numbers will never recover, but i hope they last a good while.

She's with Douglas now. They're yucking it up on the other side, watching us and being amused by our digital smartwatches

Rodents, mustelids and competing exotic birb species have changed things somewhat but I still watch the Tui singing every morning.
