There was a film made about another ski jumper, Walter Steiner, by Werner herzog. I randomly thought of that when you posed the question about a film made about a ski jumper. Though this one is a little less mainstream.

They don't mention the most favorite to win the title, then he ends up slapping them in the face with a large hill gold, good job

Nobody cares about Hendrickson, and Takanashi, and if you don't know Kasai, and Prevc have got terrible season. In this year fight for gold medal will be between Tande, Freitag, Stoch, maybe somebody else from Norway, Germany, or Poland. Shame on you Olympic Channel. Shame on you.

the Olympic channel has old information from two seasons today, the favorites for the medals are Daniel Andre Tande (world champion in the flights), Richard Freitag (second in the world cup ranking), Kamil Stoch (world cup leader and defender of the two titles of the Olympic champion from sochi) Andreas Wellinger, Johan Andre Forfang

Wow, you successfully made a stories to watch video without one single male athlete who is anywhere close to being a favorite. I guess Kraft has been decent so far this season and has had two podium places (although he hasn't been in the top 3 since mid december) but Prevc and Kasai are 16th and 26th in the overall world cup right now. After watching a few of these videos I have already realized that for some reason they were already made before this winter and therefore don't take this years results into consideration but Prevc and Kasai haven't even been expected to be favorites before the season started.

Oh, I think there are much more stories and I could actually make like an hour long video about it, if it wasn't for the short format. So I'll try to be short. There's a big favourite, who unfortunately wasn't included in the video. Poland's Kamil Stoch is the two time reigning champion from Sochi 2014. He looks to make history again, after becoming only the second man to win all 4 competitions of the 4 hills tournament in early January. He'll try to defend hid two golds, something that was never done and he has a big chance of doing it. Richard Freitag from Germany will try to stop him. He's the man in form this season and is fighting with Stoch throughout the year. However in the most important jumps it's Stoch who prevails. Then there's the ski flying world champion, Norway's Daniel Andre Tande. Unfortunately on smaller hills he's too inconsistent and will face a major challenge to repeat his feat from Oberstdorf. And you can never rule out the 4 time champion Simon Amman, who I think can snatch a medal in individual competition. And then there are guys who can also cause a major surprise. The entire Polish team is capable of this feat. Piotr Żyła is the bronze medalist in large hill individual competition from Lahti 2017, now he's found a great form, resulting in podium in the final world cup competition before PyeongChang 2018. Dawid Kubacki is the man in form as well. He has a powerfull take off, which will be a great advantage on the normall hill. Kubacki has been twice on the podium in the world cup circuit and his last podium came in the penultimate competition before the Olympics. Also worth watching is the national Polish champion Stefan Hula. Although he's the oldest in the team he has the season of his life. Even though he hadn't scored a world cup podium yet, his best position is 4th and is very consistent. Even if he doesn't manage to take an individual medal, he's great in team competitions. And then there's Maciej Kot, who won the competition in PyeongChang on the normal hill a year ago. That's what you call the best team and the big favourites in the team competition. The Norwegian team will try to stop them from taking gold in team competiotion, but with their inconsistency and Olympics being held on smaller hills than the flying ones, they can realistically take only silver. What's the final medal tally I see in men's ski jumping?
1. Poland: 3 golds, 1 silver, 1 bronze - golds in individual normal hill (Kamil Stoch), large hill (Kamil Stoch) and team (Kamil Stoch, Dawid Kubacki, Stefan Hula, Piotr Żyła/Maciej Kot - as there are four places, I can't predict who will actually be in the competition), silver in individual normal hill (Dawid Kubacki), bronze in individual large hill (Piotr Żyła)
2. Germany: 0 golds, 1 silver, 1 bronze - silver in individual large hill (Richard Freitag), bronze in team (Richard Freitag, Andreas Wellinger, Markus Eisenbichler, Stephan Leyhe)
3. Norway: 0 golds, 1 silver, 0 bronze - silver in team (Daniel Andre Tande, Johann Andre Forfang, Robert Johannson, Andreas Stjernen)
4. Switzerland: 0 golds, 0 silvers, 1 bronze - bronze in individual normal hill (Simon Amman)
Time will tell how it'll turn out, but you can't deny Poland has the best team right now and are big favourites with PyeongChang 2018 just days away. Thanks for paying attention ;)
