On December 13th, 2013, Riot released what would become my favorite champion in the game. Now, a year and countless games later, I have achieved a level of mastery that I can't even come close to with any other champions. Yasuo is by far my favorite champion. I've always been a huge fan of samurai since watching Rurouni Kenshin as a kid, and I always gravitate to the high risk, high reward playstyles in any game I play. For the longest time, I wanted a champion with a conditional ultimate, one that was incredibly powerful but can only be cast under certain circumstances.
The moment I saw Yasuo's teaser. I knew he was going to be my favorite. He's been a pretty controversial champion for pretty much his entire life, receiving nerf after nerf after nerf, but no matter how low his win rate dropped, I never stopped playing him. I loved this champion so much that I changed my summoner name from Trinimmortal to Kaze Rurouni. I know I'm not the best Yasuo in the world, but that's not what this is about. There has never been a champion that I could play over and over and over again and still have just as much fun with as the first time I played him. He gets a lot of hate, but I don't care. He is my favorite champion in League of Legends, and I don't think anyone will ever change that.
So thank you, Riot, for making such an amazing champion!
