What is the difference between the paid built in fonts and using fonts with the font engine and how can I fix them?
The built in fonts are letters that are digitized specifically for embroidery. They have the right angles and are smooth and clear. You can rely on them, and you know the small and largest recommended size.
If you have font engine, you can use the TTF fonts that are on your computer - and you can download more. The downside is some work and some dont. You need to check them out carefully and make sure they look good. Make sure you test stitch any TTF font that you use.
TTF fonts in the font engine are auto digitized. Autodigitizing is not that reliable at the best of times, but they DO work. If you can find a font that stitches out nicely, keep using it! I have found a few that I LOVE and use them frequently. But make sure you are looking closely at the TTF and look for errors or density issues. Be careful making them too small or too big - you will run into issues!
In this video, I show you a few ways that you can get the most out of your Font engine by changing a few settings to see if it works.
