Fresh cut grass, blooming trees and flowers and weeds releasing pollen cause seasonal allergies in an estimated 40 to 60 million people each year. Left untreated, seasonal allergies cause miserable symptoms, affect day-to-day activities and can spur asthma attacks. People with compromised immune systems, COPD and other respiratory conditions especially need to manage their seasonal allergy symptoms to prevent further complications.

In this episode of Ancient Medicine Today, I share a number of natural home remedies that can help you relieve pesky allergy symptoms. Try going outside when it's windy. I'm not sure why this works for me but it can be that the wind has already taken away the pollen so now it's just fresh air blowing in that direction..

Guys be smart and use a penis health creme like Man1 Man Oil once a day. It is a multivitamin creme made just for the penis and will improve its hygiene, skin texture, blood flow and more. These are very important things and using this creme is an easy way to ensure that they are being given the proper amount of attention. You can get it online.

I’ve read that hot peppers with capsaicin actually create histamine reactions in the body. If so, how could they be good for allergies?

Can someone help me with this question? Every Dr. Axe video or article gives us all different kinds of supplements to take for different issues. Should we be choosing one of them recommended in this video, or all of them?

There's a lot of info on how to MANAGE allergies, naturally or otherwise. But for me the question is: why do people have allergies in the first place? Why is standing next to a dog harmless to one person but can throw another into fits? I'm all for eating properly and taking supplements, but I want to know WHY the body sees harmless stuff as a threat (dust mites and pollen aren't the plague). If someone's immune system is overreacting when it encounters some dust, that's not a problem with the dust, that's a broken immune system. How do we correct it at the root?

A whole foods plant based diet is what will help us fight allergies and not soup from animal carcasses or secretion from bees.

Dude...I didn't think anyone would openly admit that dairy helps fight allergies, or caffeine. Especially caffeine. People barely touch on these when talking about allergic reactions. I've been keeping from these like crazy as of the past few months and I feel much better. Still congested, but a lot less runny nose, which is great.

Take away - essential oils for seasonal allergies: thyme, lemon, frankincense.

Essential oils are great if used according to their guidelines, and all essential oils have guidelines due to self-induced poisoning through ignorance.

Documented Side Effects, Injuries, and Deaths from Essential Oil Ingestion

This is the history of essential oils as reported in Encyclopedia Britannica at http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/193135/essential-oil. If it doesn't match what you've been told, take it up with them. Far be it from me to argue an encyclopedia.

In the late 1900's, sales and marketing companies began to offer essential oils through direct sales campaigns, and the information relayed in these one-on-one sales settings has become a hot topic of debate. These essential oil companies have become well-known for promoting the internal use of the straight essential oils, claiming ingesting the pure essential oil straight from the bottle is safe without side effects. However, as history has demonstrated, the internal use of essential oils, some very well-known and familiar to even lay-people, can result in side-effects, injuries, and even deaths. Though these cases are properly and professionally documented, easily obtainable and available for public review, people still demand proof of their existence while defending their decision to ingest straight essential oils to improve and maintain health.

It is no secret that some of these oils can kill you. But in the recent hype of direct marketing, we seem to have casually forgot. It seems as though, somehow, common knowledge has been hidden from the masses and replaced by a maniacal enthusiasm for one's essential oil brand of choice, an old game used up salesmen have grown tired of playing and is now newly repackaged as a source of side income for mainly stay-at-home moms excited about organic and natural products. (For more on the Multi-Level Marketing of essential oils, read: http://leetea.hubpages.com/hub/Why-Are-All-the-Articles-that-Suggest-Ingesting-Essential-Oils-is-Safe-Written-by-Young-Living-Sales-Reps).

Many people wonder how something born from nature can cause such severe results. Remember, essential oils are the straight extract of a whole plant, and it takes several pounds of plant material to produce even one ounce of essential oil. So while the oils themselves are all natural, their potentcy is, however, not a natural amount of essential oil to consume.

The chemical composition of essential oils often includes toxic constituents, even in the most popular oils. The toxic components vary from oil to oil, and as a result, so do the negative side effects one oil can produce over another. In addition to adverse reactions like allergies, and unwanted effects on nursing/pregnancy, young children and the elderly, some essential oils contain toxins that can cause seizures, respiratory failure, and kidney failure regardless of age or circumstance.

Vegan diet is working wonders for me, best year in 35years of suffering...almost gone. Top priority is avoiding milk and also beer is really bad I agree! This is good advice, but I am biased toward the vegan option because the animals deserve better and we have no need to abuse them anymore. If you drink, switch to wine and cider rather than beer. I only drink beer in autumn and winter.

Conventional dairy!!! Please.....! you dont need to ingest the secretions of a different species at all! You have been weened. If you really think that ingesting the hormones needed to make a baby cow grow as fast as possible is a good idea in a full grown human then you are cerebrally challenged. Grown cows don't even drink cow milk, why should we? Those hormones will grow cancer quicker than anything else! Plus the cows need to be raped to produce milk! Any form of dairy is perverse, those cows still end up in McDonalds burgers when their yield falls off. Like raw dairy is a miracle food... the animals endure 4 years of unwanted pregnancy with their calfs being stollen, then they are slaughtered for hamburgers at 4 years old. All to produce an acidifying food we don't need!
