What about the oil if its a milky brown color? Do you leave that in or drain it out and replace oil then do the blue devil

How about doing a complete demonstration by showing HOW to remove a thermostat and flush the coolant? These are the 2 most important steps. 99% of viewers have no clue what a thermostat even is.

I hope you didnt charge the customer the labor it would have cost to change the head gaskets. I would be pissed if you did that to my car at a shop rather than changing the head gaskets!

My toyota tacoma 96 is a 10 quart cooling fluids, the table of measurements says that I have to use 1/2 quart for 3gl of cooling. My truck has 2.5GL, is it bad if I use the full quart?

Is this one of those Cads. with the NorthStar engine? Those engines with an aluminum blocks and steel heads? Where the Head Bolts will pull out of the block! I've worked on those, stupid machines!

I am a master certified auto tech with 36 years in the business, I have used blue devil several times to help out customers who couldn't afford the repair. Each time the repair was permanent and complete, those customers drove the vehicles sealed with blue devil for years after the sealing treatment with no adverse problems. Blue devil will not clog your radiator or your thermostat as it is not a particulate sealer but rather uses a chemical reaction to bond with the metal at the leak point. Whats important is to properly flush the cooling system and remove the thermostat to assure free flow thru the system and allow the engine to reach full operating temperature then allow it to cool completely. Also if compression gasses are going into the radiator make sure to pull the spark plug for the affected cylinder before running the process.

BEWARE! I took my car in to be diagnosis for a SMALL water leak found under the car after it had been sitting for two days....my Mechanic pressure tested and concluded that it was leaking from the back middle of the head gasket, he put in Blue devil stop leak and my car overheated on the 4 mile drive home!? It had NEVER overheated until that drive home from the mechanics shop. What could cause that? I asked him if he thought it was the stop leak clogging the thermostat and he said NO. Sorry and hung up the phone! I ended up having my radiator blow open on me and after having it replaced by another mechanic (who said it did not have a leaking head gasket,) the car still over heated and we had to put a rebuilt engine in it. Because the stop leak had clogged the engine ports. I would not recommend anyone put this in their car!!

I have a 2.2L engine with water getting in the oil. I replaced the head gasket and had the head resurfaced. It is not skipping. Just getting water in oil. Will this product work in this problem?

Its true that no mechanic recommends these sort of repairs. Actually these companies are making money by exploiting people who are in search of easy and cheap fix. Almost everyone buys one or two bottles of these sealants.  In the end its the head gasket which is replaced in 99% of cars and the rest go to junkyard.

will the product still work if the oil is contaminated? (i,e. colant mixed with oil) the head is going out on my car and was wondering if it still would work. I would flush both engine oil and colant first

Ive used this on multiple of my own cars. This stuff is worth it as long as your gaskets arent too bad and if you follow directions perfectly. To the person/people who say it doesnt work are wrong.

Taking into account is very complicate to take out the sensor of 2003 Saturn VUE 3.0 AWD, because the location of the housing is under the lower intake. Could you tell me if I can use Blue Devil head gasket sealant in my Saturn VUE 3.0. without to remove the sensor?
Thank you.

the only thing I dont like about this product is that used car dealers can take cars with nearly blown engines, pay 60$ for blue devil and make them look like they run brand new and charge you full like new price for them, even though the engine has been overheated before and likley will have problem to come down the road as result.

Working as a GM tech, chances are its got a cracked head if they over heated it, and or the threads for the head bolts have pulled out of the block, can't see this stuff working for long, i wouldnt even attempt this crap, nor would i reccommend owning a northstar unless you know how to watch your temps and maintaine your car
