About :

The books are apparently pretty good. This movie? Not so much. Yes, it has sins, and we'll list them for you, but more importantly... this movie isn't good.

Thursday: Not sure yet, but there will be sins.

Remember, no movie is without sin! Which movie's sins should we expose next?!

I did not enjoy the movie quite much. There was so ridiculously much happening at once on screen that it sometimes was hard where to focus at. But at the same time it felt so pointless.

Dude, Shrike was the best part of this movie.
Hell, there's no movie I can think about that wouldn't be made better by having Shrike as a part of the main cast.

I thought this movie looked pretty cool (I know I'm a sucker for over the top nonsense) but at a certain point the whole "Wait, why are they moving the cites around in the first place?" thing got into my head and I just started losing interest until I felt kind of relieved it was over.

It’s bad enough that the book the movie was based on COMPLETELY ripped off Star Wars, not to mention Waterworld of all people.😒

Why do so many people complain that they don't explain everything on the spot? Then complain about exposition given conveniently on the spot? I never read the book but the movie wasn't all that bad. I may have given it some extra points for being action-y without a being a sequel. God I miss big original films/series. But then again I was right there for endgame so I'm not really helping....

When I first viewed the trailer on the Internet in December 2017, I knew right away that I was going to like MORTAL ENGINES.  For one, I am an avid science fiction movie and book aficionado.  I was slightly bummed that I would have to wait one year but then again I knew that one year goes by rather quickly, all things being equal.  Sure enough, mid-December 2018 rolled in and I watched the movie the first week it came out.  Quick answer.  I loved it, just as I expected.  I thought the movie would be a sure blockbuster and to this day I'm still baffled why it didn't succeed.  Perhaps I can subscribe to one theory that movie goers were tiring of this type of movie with its background scenes and scenarios that resembled other movies, like, Lord of the Rings, Hunger Games, among others.  The theory continued that Mortal Engines would have been far more successful had it come out earlier, say, between 2014 and 2016.  Be that as it may, the background scenery, scenarios, scenes, all did it for me.  And I liked the characters especially.  It didn't bother me that there were no big actor names beyond Hugo Weaving, which movie critics claim worked against the movie.  I predict that MORTAL ENGINES is one of those science fiction movies that will gain in popularity in the years to come as a cult classic.  Remember, Blade Runner and Star Wars were not particularly successful when both movies came out.  Looked what happened.  Blade Runner became such a classic science fiction film that it's now in the Library of Congress.  It's a shame that the movie wasn't more successful.  Perhaps the marketing wasn't sufficient.  Yet I claim Mortal Engines is a greatly underrated sci-fi movie.  No, I have no read the books.  I only learned about the books after watching the movie.  Hollywood had hoped for a franchise since it was based off a four-book series but only financial success can guarantee that.  But wouldn't it be thrilling if the moviemakers doubled down and insisted on a sequel?

Dear CinemaSins-Team,
you guys missed A LOT of sins in this movie!
For example, as Tom and the girl (what was her name?) climb through the cities' tracks there are LOTS of continuity errors. And during the Southies/Scavs chase them they both get repeatedly into their searchlights but the Svacs don't seem to see 'em.
I could sure give this move 20 or 30 serious sins more without being overly judgemental...
Please pay more attention to detail!

I especially recommended this piece of garbage to you but you let me down! Iam disppointed and very sad now.... How did this happen? What went wrong? I don't understand.... Come on......
I KNOW - I'll watch another CinemaSins vid, that will make me happy again! ^^
